Hi there! I'm Lorena, welcome to my world!
I'm a senior graphic designer and a junior web designer. Born and raised in Romania, based in Munich Germany for about 4 years. Love playing with cats and watching movie series.
As a young girl I was allways attracted of drawing, diy-ing projects, something that I could create, I could bring to life and although I didn't study in this specific domain (my road was totally on another field) in the early years I've discovered first Photography, using it like a way to express myself, from here I had my first touch with some editing programms that allowed me to edit my photos and to play with colors/filters and little by little it came in picture also the concept of graphic design. I've learned to use Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat and for 5 years I could use them daily, succeding to build many stories (Logos, Flyers, Birthday cards, Greeting cards, Weeding cards etc) for my clients.
Web Design
Schreinerei Bihrer
Schreinerei Bihrer it's a small carpentry company which is from a long time on the market with a big base of customers. The whole idea was born from the love and passion for wood since a young age of the client.
The company started in the early age with a more classic website created by the owner himself. The aim was to portray a more modern and updated version of the company, using more contemporary designs and tools, giving a fresh and timeless identity.
Process and Tools
The pictures were made by me in the client carpentry with his tools and machines.
For creating the design of the website I've used programs like Photoshop, editing the pictures, alining and recreating the whole interface, choosing the fonts, creating different banners or objects. Logo was reconstructed after the original one in Illustrator.
During the implementation of the website I have used the following: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap also jQuery and JavaScript for different functionalities (eg. slider, gallery, contact form etc)
The website is made in WordPress where I have conceived custom templates for each page, also I've created an interface for the user which gives him the possibility to change all the content from the website.
Botanical website
Botanical website it's a personal project started from my desire to bring more information about the local uses of plants in our fast paced society (medicinal, beauty, bring of luck).
The aim was to portray the vibrant, inviting life of local people living near nature and how can we make a corner of peace in our modern life thourgh this knowledge. The website had as its objective the transposition of this information through bright and captivating colors, by using a modern but at the same time user-friendly interface.
Process and Tools
Main programs that were used was for the graphic part Photoshop and for the webdesign I've used mainly html, css, javascript and wordpress. Different buttons and effects (mainly css) have been specially chosen to convey the desired liveliness.
